The Timberwolves are headed to the second round after a series-clinching statement win over the Denver Nuggets. The Wolves played with a strong blend of defense, depth, and star power. Even without key players such as Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards, Minnesota still found a way to secure a solid win to cap off a strong, impressive series victory.
Jaden McDaniels had 32 points and 10 rebounds, and Terrence Shannon Jr. scored 24 points in a surprise start for the injured Minnesota Timberwolves in their 110-98 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 that closed the book on yet another tense NBA playoff series between the rivals.
With the Timberwolves’ top three guards out with injury, the Wolves went big with Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, and Naz Reid. This size led to a 64-40 advantage in points in the paid and a 50-33 edge in rebounding.
